Jim founded his business brokerage firm in 2016 after earning top production awards at one of the largest business brokerage firms in the United States. In founding Playbook Advisory, Jim saw an opportunity to create a company that could better serve business owners in Chicago and elsewhere with better technology and marketing as well as charge lower fees.
In Jim’s past, he founded a mortgage company that grew to generate annual production of over $100mm. The company was sold to a public company in 2005 and a few years later Jim entered the business brokerage industry after his unsuccessful search for a business to own.
Over the past nine years he has listed over 125 businesses and sold over $50,000,000 the past 4 years (Sold Listings). Jim works works closely with privately held business owners who are seeking a professional to assist with their sale. The number one benefit Playbook offers owners is Confidentiality.
Jim is active in the Chicago area communities. He has served on Advisory boards for various charities since 1993 and has helped raised funding for local Chicago public schools and Catholic groups. Jim also has coached his children’s baseball teams at Oz Park & Welles Park and coached the girls basketball teams at Agassiz Elementary. His family is proud of donating new school uniforms in 2019 to support the teams boy’s 7-8th grade team.
